About our mission

The story of the MAKERSTOREN

The pleasure of living and working together, the convenience of services and the added value of an inspiring location that stands for creativity, innovation and cultural involvement. Welcome to the MAKER’S TOWER. MAKERSTOREN is designed for makers. In the attractive, stacked high-rise buildings you will find fully furnished apartments, high-quality studio spaces, beautifully designed communal areas and numerous fine services. This makes us fundamentally different from other coworking spaces and serviced rental apartments. We offer a healthy breeding ground where ambitious makers can grow (further), from high-tech designers to craftsmen and from established professionals to ambitious beginners. And we facilitate creative enterprises in the optimal accommodation of temporary staff.

Designed for makers

The diversity of temporary living space, studio spaces and communal areas for sports and relaxation makes MAKERSTOREN unique. MAKERSTOREN has 45 creative workshops of various sizes, spread over nine floors. Communal areas are available in various places, for example for meetings or to clear your head. Food and drinks can be found in the restaurant on the ground floor, and you can zoom out on the ninth floor where the spacious communal lobby with designer furniture offers a wide view of the city. When the working day is over, you can grab a takeaway meal. In the summer, you can join the communal BBQs. If you don’t want to sit, you can sharpen your mind (and body) in the adjacent, freely accessible fitness room. Need a permanent parking space? Rent an e-bike? Or do you want to have your own charging point? We are happy to support you in your needs.

"The stacked structure, the huge lift and the connection between inside and outside, it gives makers every opportunity. We are not only tapping into their talent, but also engaging a new piece of the city in the process. Allard Architecture's bold architectural statement ties in seamlessly with this. No one can ignore it."

"MAKERSTOREN is more than a building you go to work at. We strive to facilitate the dynamics of a thriving neighbourhood—a place you like to linger before, during and after work. We’re pioneering in the area by building a tower for workspaces. That’s quite unique. The fact is, we lack space on the ground. The solution is going up. A highrise doesn’t need to be reserved for office towers, right? I love Sloterdijk for its guts. The area is quickly changing, replacing anonymous office buildings with ambitious residential area and public spaces developments. The bold attitude, amount of space, and unlimited potential already attracted progressive tastemakers who relocated their seat to the western part of town. The combination of location, accessibility and facilities is unique, but what appeals most to me is the prevailing energy—ambitious, upbeat, positive, and collaborative.”
