Websites subject to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all of our websites and domains, including regional or country-specific sites (collectively, “Websites”). We do not monitor or control the data collected by these websites and we are not responsible for their privacy policies or the content of their websites.
Types of data we collect and use
In this policy, “personal information” or “personal data” means information about an identifiable individual that is eligible for protection under the law in the jurisdiction in which you reside. In some jurisdictions, company contact information is not considered “personal information” or “personal data.”
There are different ways in which the Websites collect information for different purposes, as explained below. If you choose to sign in to one of our Websites to receive updates from us, manage your account and/or use our self-service portal, you will be asked to provide contact information (such as your name, address, telephone number , email address, a unique login name and password). We use this information based on our legitimate business interests to provide our services and/or to contact you about the services on our website that you have expressed an interest in.
The Websites may automatically collect technical information about your visit, such as browser type, Internet service provider, platform type, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, referring pages and pages from which you leave the Website, operating system, and the date/time of your visit. We collect this information for reporting on the Websites, analyzing trends, troubleshooting our server, administering the Sites, tracking user movement and usage, and gathering general demographic information. Please see ‘Cookies and other digital markers’ below for more information.
Optionally, you can also provide demographic information such as company type, company size, locations, and so on. We use this information to understand your needs and interests and to provide you with a more personalized experience on our website. The data is used by Makerstoren to process your orders, make you offers (subject to your marketing preferences), and provide our services to you.
If we contact you by telephone, you may provide us with personal information during the call. For training and quality reasons, these calls may be recorded. We will inform you about the possible recording at the beginning of the conversation. You have the option to end the call if you do not wish to be recorded.
If you enter one of our locations where cameras are present, footage of you may be recorded by our video surveillance system.

These rights may be limited, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal personal information about another person or infringe the privacy rights of others, or if the request violates legal obligations. Feel free to contact us at info@makerstoren.nl to exercise one of these rights. If you still have unresolved questions, you have the right to submit a complaint to the data protection supervisory authority of your place of residence or work.
Keep your information safe
While we do our best to ensure the security of our servers, we cannot fully guarantee this and cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted over the Internet. To protect your personal data during transmission and storage, we use generally accepted technical standards. If we process personal data for marketing purposes or with your consent, we will retain this data until you ask us to stop. We also keep track of whether you no longer wish to receive direct marketing messages from us or whether you wish to have your data processed indefinitely. For the processing of personal data in connection with contracts, services or competitions, we keep the data for a period of 6 years after the last interaction with us (financial data is kept for 10 years). Call recordings and surveillance footage are retained for a short period of time in accordance with our internal compliance procedures.
