The MAKERSTOREN in Amsterdam Sloterdijk is a place where living and working come together under one roof, a 5-minute cycle from Sloterdijk Station and 15 minutes from the city centre. Nine floors full of space for makers, entrepreneurs and temporary residents of Amsterdam, with its own café on the ground floor and, soon, a gym and lounge on the 9th floor.

 

There are two options available in the tower: if you’re looking for a place to work, you’ll find 38 studios/business spaces to rent, ranging from 22 to 370 m², suitable for creative businesses of all sizes.

Every short-stay serviced apartment at MAKERSTOREN is fully furnished for longer stays, ranging from 28 days to 6 months, with weekly cleaning, utilities and Wi-Fi included. We offer seven studios, each with its own layout and view: from a compact Standard Studio overlooking the harbour side of Sloterdijk or the Amsterdam skyline, to a Superior Studio on a corner of the building with its own balcony, to our most exclusive option, the Executive Corner Studio, with a panoramic corner view of the harbour or the city, and one variant even featuring its own private terrace.

At MAKERSTOREN , you’ll find thirty-eight studio and business spaces spread across nine floors — ranging from a compact 22 m² workspace to a spacious 370 m² studio. Each space comes equipped as standard with ceiling lighting and power sockets, with access to the goods lift for those working with larger materials or machinery.

 

You’ll share the building with a growing community of designers, craftspeople and entrepreneurs, from the catering facilities on the ground floor to the shared lounge and gym (November 2026) high up in the tower. Here, you’re never on your own.

IN THE AREA

For a new frotier, there is a surprising offer of leisure options near MAKERSTOREN. From a creative oasis to a hotbed for art and a circular village with its own vineyard, there are plenty of exciting leisure options in the direct surroundings. We mention a few highlights, including Amsterdam’s latest green sanctuary, Rhônepark.

Directly opposite MAKERSTOREN is Amsterdam's brand-new park with walking trails, a jogging track, sports facilities, an open-air theatre and a tree campsite that houses trees removed from construction areas elsewhere in the city.

Sloterdijk Station, the tenth most frequented train station in the Netherlands, is nearby, bridging the 12 km distance to Schiphol Airport in just 11 minutes. From here, it is easy to travel by high-speed train, metro or plane to any destination in Europe or overseas.

Up your game and play padel under the train tracks of nearby Sloterdijk station. Courts 1 to 4 have an 11-metre-high canopy and outdoor fans claim their spot on the fifth court. The venue also has a generous terrace to refresh yourself after your workout.

Lofi is the most prominent, influential educational gathering for electronic music in the city. Besides the already infamous indoor warehouse raves, the former GVB bus garage also hosts intimate gatherings in the courtyard.
